Dear Diana,
The strap design on this bag is very ingenious. To convert the handbag from a Shoulder bag to a Crossbody bag follow these simple steps:
On each side of the bag you will see the strap adjustment pieces.
1. Pull the metal adjustment bar down so that it reaches the bottom of the strap and touches the metal clasp (hook) that is attached to the bottom side of the bag.
2. Repeat step one so that both strap sides are at full length (if you hold the bag up by the top of the strap it should look like a Shoulder bag.)
3. Next, unclasp the bottom/side hook on each side of the bag.
4. Lastly, if you allow the bag strap to rest in your hand (holding the strap central above the purse) the side straps should automatically pull up and you have created a single strap with a drop that is about 28 inches.
You will have just transformed the bag into a Crossbody bag. To return the bag to its original form (so that it can be a backpack or shoulder bag) just re-attach the hooks/clasps on each side of the bag to the metal loops at the bottom side of each bag.
Please let me know if you have any additional comments or concerns and look for some visual guides to this comment in this weekend’s blog post.
